Eight former winners of EPCR’s tournaments – ASM Clermont Auvergne, Leicester Tigers, Leinster Rugby, Northampton Saints, RC Toulon, Saracens, Toulouse and Ulster Rugby - with as many as 24 titles between them remain in contention for European silverware as the journey to the Marseille finals intensifies, and with this season’s total attendances already exceeding 1 million, the knockout stages look set to deliver even more drama in sold-out venues.

The 25th anniversary season of the Heineken Champions Cup will resume with what promises to be a monumental clash between the No 1-ranked Leinster and holders, Saracens, at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, 4 April live on BT Sport, who are covering all four quarter-finals.

The Leinster-Saracens confrontation will be preceded by the meeting of No 2-ranked Exeter Chiefs and Northampton Saints at Sandy Park while on the same day, Stade Marcel-Michelin will be packed for the head-to-head between Clermont and Racing 92.

Then on Sunday, 5 April, the Heineken Champions Cup will be centre stage again when four-time winners, Toulouse, are up against Ulster at the 33,000-capacity Le Stadium live and free-to-air on Channel 4 and Virgin Media.

The quarter-finals weekend kicks off on Friday, 3 April with the Challenge Cup clash of No 1-ranked RC Toulon and the Scarlets at Stade Mayol live on BT Sport, and then the following day, Leicester Tigers host Castres Olympique and Bordeaux-Bègles are at home against Edinburgh Rugby at Welford Road and Stade Chaban-Delmas respectively with both matches live on BT Sport.

The last of the Challenge Cup quarter-finals on Sunday, 5 April pits No 2-ranked Bristol Bears against the Dragons at Ashton Gate with live coverage again on BT Sport.
