The 2016 Challenge Cup winners will bid for a second European title this evening, taking on a Leicester Tigers team who have been on a revival mission in recent months under new head coach Steve Borthwick.

It is expected that Leicester will have the majority of the support behind them on Friday night, but that isn’t something that the former France back-row is concerned about.

“Yes, 10,000 people in a stadium like Twickenham won’t seem like much, but it’s a good start,” said the 34-year-old.

“I think everyone’s missed seeing the fans in stadiums. Unfortunately, it’s an away game, it’s in England, and I think it’ll be slightly hostile for us.

“But it’s always good to hear noise, to hear supporters and cheers of encouragement in the stadium. It lifts you up. I don’t think it’s necessarily something we’re apprehensive of.

“It’s actually a pleasure for us to see people in stadiums again. We’ve missed it and, even though they’ll be English fans, we’ll take whatever we can get.”

Ouedraogo also reserved praise for Leicester wing and former teammate Nemani Nadolo, who starts for the two-time European champions this evening.

“He keeps running them in every weekend, so he’s a player with remarkable qualities,” he added. “He’s technical yet powerful, strong – this we know.

“When he played for us, he helped us win a fair few matches, but we did lose some when he was here, so anything can happen.

“We’ve really focused on our own preparation, on being right during this match, and performing well together instead of focusing on one player in particular.”

Montpellier flanker Fulgence Ouedraogo admitted he has missed spectators ahead of Friday’s European Rugby Challenge Cup final at Twickenham Stadium that will see up to 10,000 fans in attendance.
