Eleven Scarlets helped Wales reach the semi-finals in Japan, but none have been involved in their five wins from their opening six PRO14 matches.

Centre Jonathan Davies and fly-half Rhys Patchell face further absences, as it was announced on Tuesday that Davies has undergone knee surgery and will be sidelined for at least six months, while Patchell will be out for a minimum of three months with a shoulder injury.

“The squad has been worked pretty well,” Mooar told the Scarlets website. “There are some people that haven't managed to take the field yet, but it'll come and obviously we will start phasing in the World Cup boys over the next five to six weeks. It's going to be on an individual, case-by-case scenario.

“They’ve had a massive five months; it's been huge for them mentally and physically. We’re starting to see some of them back in and around the place, and in terms of the knocks and bumps and bruises, they’re all getting assessed by the medical teams.

“There have been three or four changes to the side each week and you’ll see that moving forward. We’re never going to have the same 23 week to week.”

The New Zealander is thrilled to be involved in European competition for the first time this weekend in Pool 2 at home to London Irish on Saturday.

“We’re really excited about the European window and it's going to be a really good energy buzz for us to get up on our toes,” he commented.

Scarlets approach their pool stage debut in the European Rugby Challenge Cup in excellent shape – in second place in Conference B of the PRO14 – and with head coach Brad Mooar warning that the Welsh region could soon be boosted by their Rugby World Cup stars.
