Harlequins scrum coach Adam Jones reckons the English club are well placed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the European Rugby Challenge Cup next month. Quins moved to the head of Pool 5 by a single point by defeating second-placed Benetton Rugby 20-9 last Saturday in dreadful conditions at The Stoop and now face a home tie against Grenoble on January 12 followed by a trip to Agen on January 18 in Rounds 5 and 6. “The weather obviously didn’t help with the way we would want to try to play the game,” Jones told the Harlequins website. “The players were obviously frustrated by the knock-ons and a couple of turnovers, but on days like this it is more about what is going on above your head than down on the pitch that determines the match.
