In the Gallagher Premiership, Harlequins have the chance to make amends for a disappointing European campaign as they take on Sale Sharks in the penultimate game of the season.

Victory for Quins would see them overhaul third-placed Sale - who reached the quarter-finals of the Heineken Champions Cup - and thus boost their chances of playing the second-placed finishers in the play-offs.

The club who finish fourth will take on the leaders – currently European Rugby Challenge Cup 2020 winners Bristol Bears – so both Quins and Sale will be keen to grab a win on Friday at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Meanwhile, Leinster will be gunning for a third consecutive PRO14 Rainbow Cup victory after defeat to Munster Rugby in the opening round.

Leinster’s season suffered a setback with a 27-3 defeat to Munster in April, before their dreams of securing a fifth European title were dashed when they were beaten by eventual runners-up La Rochelle in the Heineken Champions Cup semi-finals.

Since then, the Irish province have chalked up hard-fought wins against Connacht Rugby and Ulster Rugby, and they have the chance to of a third successive victory when they face Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun Stadium on Friday.

Leinster will once again be without the injured Johnny Sexton, who has amassed a staggering 709 points in European competitions, but Ross Byrne has proved to be a solid replacement at fly-half.

With the Heineken Champions Cup competition now wrapped up, clubs across Europe are now focused on ending their respective domestic campaigns on a high.
