2012-13 Challenge Cup final: Leinster Rugby 43 Stade Français Paris 13 (RDS Arena)

Leinster became the fourth club to win both European titles – after Bath Rugby, Northampton Saints and Wasps - as they cruised to victory over Stade Français.

Ian Madigan got the ball rolling on two minutes as he finished under the posts after a mazy run from Isa Nacewa. Jonny Sexton added the extras - as he did for all four of Leinster’s scores.

Sean Cronin then joined the exclusive group of players to score in both the European Cup and Challenge Cup finals when he drove over on 19 minutes following a brilliant claim of a high ball from Andrew Conway.

Jerome Porical opened Stade Français’ account with a penalty shortly afterwards, but the Leinster onslaught continued as Rob Kearney dived over for try number three in spectacular fashion.

Another Porical penalty on the stroke of half-time reduced the deficit, but two Sexton efforts from the tee in the first 22 minutes of the second half alleviated any Leinster worries.

Jeremy Sinzelle skipped through for a Stade Français try on 65 minutes to keep the Irish province on their toes over the remaining quarter of an hour, but Cian Healy’s score in the dying seconds wrapped up their triumphant day.

Healy’s try saw him join Cronin in that elite contingent of scorers, which also features Delon Armitage, Brock James, Nick Abendanon, Phil Dowson and Ben Foden.
