Who is the hardest trainer?

Potentially Conor Oliver – he works very hard. He’s one of our back-rowers. Then there’s always the half-backs. There’s something about them - they’re always so competitive. So, you’ve got Stevie [Stephen] Kerins, Caolin Blade, Colm Reilly – the three of them just go at it all day long.

What about the strongest?

It’s Peter Robb. He is an absolute animal! They made new dumbbells just for him – that’s a joke.

What about the fastest?

That’s debatable. Fastest back is probably Kieran Marmion, who won the 10m speed game, so he claims to be the fastest. But you have to give it to Matty [Matthew] Healy. He can still move!

What about the most skilful?

I think Shane Delahunt at hooker is very skilful. You wouldn't know [it] by the look of him, but the man’s got some great skills! And then the other one would be Abraham Papali’i. He’s our big physical No.8 and when he’s got the ball in hand, he can do some pretty special stuff.

The best banter in the dressing room?

It’d have to be Stephen Fitzgerald. He’s definitely got the best banter. He’s got some great energy about him. He’s been in the rehab group mending his knee, but he’s still got a massive smile on his face. He’s still good to throw a bit of abuse at anyone that tries him.

A future captain?

You can’t look past Paul Boyle. He’s a phenomenal young leader. He’s got a massive head on his shoulders and I think he’ll be around for a good while.

Finally, a future head coach in the team?

I would have to say Eoghan Masterson would be a future head coach. He’s very switched on. He knows his stuff [and is] very good at talking to people.
