But Blackett is aware that the 2019 Challenge Cup winners pose a major threat, with stars such as Camille Lopez, Fritz Lee and Wesley Fofana all expected to feature

“Yeah, it’s a great occasion and it’s what we are all about,” Blackett said. “In Europe we’ve won two from two and we’ve got ourselves a home tie so that was exactly what we were looking for.

“These are exactly the games everyone wants to play in. You are coming up against a top class team in Clermont.

“It’s going to be tough but it’s exciting and hopefully it’s a positive thing. It’s a new competition and I didn’t think we were in a great place at the start of the season having won one from three.

“We then went into Dragons and Europe and it propelled us to a five-game winning streak. Hopefully this does the same because I know the boys are excited by it.”
